Thought this would evoke discussion of country's dire financial crisis. Will they pass a bill (it's only 3/4 of $1 Trillion) and everything continues on as usual or are we at the last straw--the breaking point? Back to normal soon or breaking point?

No-b/c we're going to have to borrow $700b, it's only going to make the dollar go WAY south.
However-if we don't, then all of these financial institutions could go under, which could also make our economy go WAY south.
This is JMHO-but this doesn't look good. All those rumors last Spring of an economic collapse here are starting to have some truth to it.

IMHO, if this $700 billion (which is really closer to $2 TRILLION) is passed, it's just putting a band-aid on a gaping wound. It will only delay the inevitable financial meltdown.

I think that the Presidents reaction is indicative of a serious concern. He is trying to rush this bail out to avoid recession but i think it will get deeper regardless of the bailout...you can change what the markets do but you can't change the attitudes of the people. People want to live lavish lives full of "STUFF"...and eventually when our dollar is of little value people will be asking for more solutions...**Global Currency or Amero--Stage Left**

we are going to be raptured when people are eating drinking marrying and giving in marriage, so either we will be raptured very very soon or this band aid (government bailout) will keep the economy going for a little bit longer. either way because of mathew 24:38 I dont think Christians will see the worst economic times. JMHO.

Whether or not this bill gets passed, the economy will collapse once the rapture occurs(whenever that will be).
I will leave it at this.

I agree.
The bible is clear that apathy will abound when the Rapture happens.
and someone said recently that if this economic meltdown happens now
many many people will come out of their apathy and get real interested in prophecy and the bible real fast.
So their is a good chance that the real economic meltdown won't happen untill the day the rapture happens.
then it will be the end of the American power and economic machine and Europe will take over.
thats my feeling on it anyway.
