My dear fellow Christians,
What an amazing, wonderful, giving, patient, forgiving, awesome, OK OK. I know I could go on. :) Lord we have.
My father in law was diagnosed with prostrate cancer a few years ago. He had to have surgery and thank the lord it has not yet returned. What happened is the scare tissue twisted his small intestine and caused a huge blockage. WE just found that out though. He just got out of surgery and I truly feel Jesus our amazing Lord eased the significance of this issue.
My in laws are not particularly Christians. My husband himself, does not believe. Though through this whole ordeal I've asked him a few time at night if he will allow me to pray for his father while holding hand and then I will pray out loud.
I can't stop the tears rolling down my cheeks.
My own father who too is an atheist has a colostomy bag. I've watch him go from a vibrant older man to a very old man in the last few years. He lost his heart to do anything.. He is very depressed and now with new medications to help that depression he just sleeps the hours away.
My father in law is more then vibrant. He is extremely healthy for his age 70. He just retired last year after 30 years of Teaching.. He barely watches television. He is a man of the woods so to speak. He hunts, traps, farms, raises animals for food and leather/skins..
So with that said after hearing he was having these problems I was scared big time for him. Scared he was going t have to get one of those bags..
I could barley talk to my husband about it without choking up and when I tried to talk to him about it he would just shut down.
Sometimes I really hate knowing things and having to enlighten others..
Anyways.. My husband just called and my father in law is waking up now. A bit groggy but seeming to come out of it..
I truly give our amazing father all the gratitude I have to give.
I know he is truly looking out for us all and I so can't wait to give him a huge hug when ever we see him.. Thats if he will let me :P
loving you all in Christ!
Debbie
