I wasn't sure where to put this. If this belongs more in the apostasy section, than the mods can feel free to move it.
To make a long story short, I have felt the Lord was coming soon for a long time. But yesterday I sat in church and maybe it was a general feeling of complacency, but I felt like life would always be like this. (going to the same church every sunday).
My church does preach that people sin and need Jesus. A lot of the sermons are about how if we had complete faith and trust in Jesus, then we could have freedom over what binds us.
Is this considered apostate or not?

Does your church have a website for further study on it's beliefs?

There is no statement of faith, or am I missing it? :scratch

not that I can see, but I don't think they update their website much except for the main page, that is why their links on the side don't work.
They are an A/G church. Our pastor is assistant superintendent

I can't find that specific churches statement, but it led me to this site:

I don't have time to delve deeper at the moment... but this looks sound to me.

IMO, very few churches are addressing the End Times issue as well as they could be. We have been shopping for a new church recently and have had a very hard time finding one that serves spiritual "meat", not spiritual "milk."
It's tough, but if you are happy with your church otherwise, I'd stick with it and perhaps lobby for an End Times sermon or series, perhaps?

I thought I should give you this web address to check out for yourself. I won't be able to type it so that you can just click and go there. Last time I did that and the web address was cut off because it is so long. After three w's it is: authorityresearch.com/2006-10%20Church%20leadersh...
Those are percent symbols after 10 and Church. To me they look like small 96, Maybe I need glasses!!

My mom's Church is Assembly of God Church. They are doing a study on end times, currently on Wednesday nights. Ask your Pastor about possibly having a study in your Church on end times, during Sunday School or Sunday night.
