Hey everyone before i ask for opinions i will give the background
There is someone that ive been working with about a year now and
i quickly found out that she is into drugs, drinking, quija boards, and homosexuality.
it really worried me because at the time she was only 16.
i made sure to always treat her with respect and not judge her for anything.
after a couple months i couldnt really take it anymore i saw someone heading for a cliff and just needed to say something.
i wanted to warn her about the dangers of drugs but not come off as judgmental
i wanted to talk to her about God, plant a seed, and just kinda see where her beliefs were.
so i did.
she thanked me for talking to her and encouraging her.
i talked to her about how she could never be in too much sin to be forgiven or ever be such a "bad person" that she couldn't come to the Lord and be saved.
(she was raised catholic)
after this if anything i think i built up a little bit of trust between us.
in the meantime ive been praying that she would come to salvation
and have been trying to just be a living example.
a couple weeks ago she mentioned to me that late one night she was watching tv and it was on a christian station and her remote wouldnt work so she just watched whatever was on. the pastor was talking about being forgiven! and she said she thought of me.
I want to follow up with her and just ask her if shes thought about anything i said to her and go through how to be saved.
the last thing i want is to come off as pushy.
should i try talking to her again? what would be a good way to bring it up?
or should i continue only in prayer?
thanks

Hi Tess.
Keep on praying for her as you have been, but can you find some books that point to the truth but are not in your face so to speak. Sort of like wrote as a story & something that a non believer who likes to read would read ( though it would prick at there consciences ) I hope you understand the kind of thing I am thinking of. Also you could if there are any christian youth groups in your area & they have some kind of social on, you could invite her there. Maybe some girls of her own age will be able to help her. I have found over the years that you maybe the one to plant a seed, but it may be Gods will that someone else is the one to nurture that seed & so reap it.
So if you as you have been doing so far, plant that precious seed. That is something that you should be proud of being aloud to do. Not everyone can plant a seed, that I believe is one of the hardest things to be able to do. To be able to break through that hard shell that has been placed there by Helel & his system. The majority of people are so hard & will become abusive, insulting even violent when someone tries to show them the truth of our Lord & savour. So to be able to have reached someone & they have talked to you about it, then you have broken through that shell & so you have planted that seed. You said she watched a channel on TV & she thought of you & what you have said to her, so that tells me that the seed that you have sown in her direction has not fallen on stony ground. It has fallen on soil & is rooting itself.
So keep praying for her & it maybe for her to be introduced to someone more her own age that knows the Lord & that can show her the truth, so they can reap what you have sown. You could also be a little sneaky & leave some tracks about for her to find & read, I used to place some in there coats while they where hung up. I also put them in the toilets, so that some could read them in there, I would put them as book marks in the books at work also in reception on the table with all the other literature. I am sure that others will be able to give you other idea's, better than I. I hope you understand what I have tried to say here, I am not the best at trying to explain things, but I have tried my best here. I pray that you reach her & that she comes to our Lord & accepts his gift of salvation.
God Bless

I agree with VOT. And I second the vote of definitely praying over it! The Holy Spirit will let you know the PERFECT time to speak again (if you should) and you will just know it!!

Hi Tess.
You are more than welcome, as with any Christian Brother or Sister. If we can help each other in any way we can then, we will help. I am pleased that I explained myself so you could understand me, as I said I do tend to waffle a bit & so miss the point at times.
God Bless you always & I will be praying for your friend that she has the seed that you have planted, reaped soon. May our Lord & Savour comfort & bless you both.
God Bless you all
