Hey fellow RR's,
I have been doing a lot of thinking/praying about finding a good way for me, a college kid, to get the word out about Christ...and I discovered that a great place to do it would be Facebook. Yes, the environment can be hostile if people disagree with you, but that makes it an even better place for me to plant a seed in someone. My idea was to do a 10-15 minute video bible study posting once a week on a specific topic, probably spending more than one week per topic, and also posting the text of my video study in a Facebook Note. The Note would allow people to comment about their thoughts on the bible study through text or video.

The question is, where do I start? My friends/family on Facebook have a variety of different beliefs concerning religion: some are true Christians, some are cultural Christians, some are Muslim, others are agnostic, and many of them don't claim any religious affiliation because they "aren't quite sure". I want to take things slowly so those who don't know very much can follow and understand without feeling overwhelmed. I need to start with simple topics, but I'm not sure what topics are considered "simple".

Any thoughts? Good bible study books/resources I could use?

God Bless,
Katy :)

I really like your idea. I see a lot churches using Facebook. I think it's a great resource to reach out to the younger generation.

I would start off with a message on Salvation and follow-up w/Jesus is Coming. Lamb and Lion has a great article and MP3 broadcast called Jesus is Coming. Mabye you can do an abbrevitaed version of something like that. Here's the link to the broadcast: http://lamblion.com/articles/articles_second8.php

You can go to www.Carm.org and read the articles on the Religious/Secular Movements, it may give you ideas on how to guide your topics to particular audience. It's a nice website w/a lot of information.

I wish you the best.
