My fellow Oregonian's intro post caught my eye today, so here is one more saying Hello!
I'm from the Eastern side of the state. I'm a 39 yr old Mom of 3 boys, have been married for 14.5 years to a pretty great guy (he puts up with me!).
I have a long church background, I started going to church with my great great aunt when I was 5 or so. She played piano for her Baptist church and I spent quite a bit of time with her. She definitely gave me a firm foundation. She went home to be with Jesus when I was in the 5th grade....I am so thankful to know that I will see her again!
Since then I have bounced around a bit, finally getting "settled" in the Pentecostal branch as a teen when my Mom got saved and started going to church. Right now our church of preference is a 4 Square. My oldest has become involved with the Youth Group there, and I am really really thankful to have such good people in his life. :)
I'm excited to join the community and talk with other believers. It seems like everyone I run into online are of the opposite belief system....I am still overwhelmed (though maybe a little less so after 12+ years online) that there are so many who reject, and even mock, the Lord and Christianity. It shouldn't surprise me, but it does. Anyway, like I said, I am glad to be here. :):)
