Politics Representatives of American and European news media will meet in Madrid during the 64th General Assembly of the Inter American Press Association (IAPA) for the purpose of reviewing the status of freedom of expression in the hemisphere and the challenges faced by the information industry.

will be held from October 3 to October 7 in Madrid, the attendees will discuss the coexistence between content providers and the major Internet search engines, and copyright-related troubles, in addition to the new scenarios posed by e-journalism and new technologies.

King Juan Carlos I of Spain will address himself to the participants and delegates to open formally the 64th General Assembly of IAPA, which, for the second time in history, is being held outside the Americas, said the IAPA in a statement, as reported by Efe.
