World markets fall; France in recession

While economic numbers in the U.S. have not yet met the technical definition of a recession, they have in France.

The country's national statistics agency says the French economy is expected to contract in the third and fourth quarters. The agency says the contraction should be about one-tenth percent in each quarter. That follows a three-tenths fall in the second quarter. For the year, France's economy is expected to have grown 0.9%.

France's finance minister had previously rejected suggestions that the country was headed for a recession. But, Christine Lagarde says "the risk of negative growth" is now real.

This is one thing Americans need to remember. This financial situation is not limited to the USA. Financial messes are all OVER the world, and the blame cannot solely ride on a couple of things called Freddie and Fannie. This is bigger than that.

France is in a recession, and it didn't just happen this month. It's been going there for a long time, there are a lot of factors involved, and nothing we do in American is going to either fix or destroy the whole global financial system. We are merely one of the many contributing factors.

And none of this is a surprise to God. Not now, not when prophecy was written thousands of years ago.

This was my first thought,also-the signs of the tribulation are all coming together,which,as someone else said,means the rapture is soon coming!!!:yeah:yeah(And I don't applaud this tragedy,but what we see coming)
