Not Perfect, But Forgiven

In Revelation 12, Satan is cast down to the Earth once and for all. If this happens in the middle of the tribulation, and the Rapture is pre-trib, then won't we actually see Satan up there accusing tribulation saints before God? I said middle because Revelation 4 is a picture and type of the Rapture.

In Job 1, Satan appears before the throne of God as if he doesn't have a care in the world, and begins to accuse Job to God. As of today, Satan still has access to the presence of God, despite already being sentenced to the bottomless pit for 1,000 years before beginning his sentence in the Lake of Fire for all eternity.

I know that Revelation is hard to understand, but if Jesus is going to take us up, doesn't Satan have to be taken down? Or will it even matter, since we will have glorified bodies and sinless natures? If Satan isn't cast out until the middle of the trib, then possesses the Anti-Christ, then that means we'll have to put up with him for 3.5. years in Heaven until God finally gets sick of him and casts him to the earth permanently, forever denying him access to the presence of God, His Bride, and the loyal angels.

I hope he is cast out before the Rapture. I don't want to be at the marriage banquet and see Satan accusing people before God. However, if I have to put up with him up there after the Rapture, then I'll just watch as God says "Bob's sins have been covered by My Son's blood," "Susan's sins have been covered by My Son's blood." I want to see the frustration on Satan's insolent face as God declares all the righteous innocent.

Does anyone else think Satan will be cast down after the Rapture? Is there any biblical proof supporting it, or the opposite: that he will be cast down before?

Well, if you go by the Job example, it appears Satan does make visits there or has to explain himself to God. In Job, the first question God asked him was, "Whence have you come?" Obviously God wants him to explain where he's been and he replies that he's been wondering around on the earth, of course. :rolleyes

So, I think he'll report there until he starts a fight in heaven and then he'll get thrown out and not be allowed entry again. Notice God doesn't judge him on the spot there, but casts him to earth where He'll deal with him later because the world has not yet reached the appointed time where Jesus comes on the scene and deals with it all.

If Satan comes into heaven, he isn't winning any battles, believe me. But once the end comes and he's thrown into the bottomless pit, the bible only says that "an angel" took him and threw him in the pit.

Just one angel. :)

It won't matter if he accuses us--we'll be there in our new bodies, free of sin. He probably won't waste his time on those of us who have received our new bodies, anyway, but will focus on those who accept Christ during the first half of the Tribulation.

At least, that's what I'm guessing.

Satan must be a nasty looking thing in his true form. Ugh.

Well, its already difficult enough for us now to maintain our salvation without being constantly bombarded by hatred of Christ and the things to do with him. I truly feel sorry for those who have to maintain their salvation during the dark times of the tribulation, because Satan will oppress them even more than he does to any regular Christian...

Satan, currently "lives in the atmospheric heavens", while he continues to have access to Heaven and Earth. Fructhenbaum's Footsteps of the Messiah details this more, but in short...he states there are 6 abodes of satan, where he either lived, lives or will live.

The first 2 are past, the first being "the holy mountain of God", meaning he was over the Throne of God. (See Ez 28) His second abode was on earth, he is seen in the Garden of Eden until he deceived Eve and caused the fall of man. Today, he lives in his third abode, the atmospheric heavens, as seen in Eph 2:2 and 6:12. While he still has access to both heaven and earth, he "lives" in the atmosphere. In Rev 12, he loses this. Satan is also called "the prince of this world" and the "god of this age", he is the "prince of the kingdom of this world". Remember, he offerred Jesus this world, if only Jesus would only bow down and worship him? He could not offer it, if it wasn't his. Man lost "the title deed" in the fall, Jesus reclaims it in Rev. when the seals are opened. In Rev. 12, when satan is cast out of his third abode, he will ONLY have access to earth, this will last for the last half of the trib. At the end of the trib, he is seen in Rev. 20:1-3 being cast into his fifth abode, the Abyss until the end of the Millenium, after which he is released on earth one more time and then bound in his 6th abode, the lake of fire for eternity.

From what the Bible says, he is presented (one way) as "an Angel of Light" so he must be attractive in his own way.

Another presentation is that of a Lion, roaming the earth, who would devour anything he could.

We do not have to "maintain our Salvation" (THANK YOU JESUS) as we are sealed by the Holy Spirit. Now the daily walk to do what we know is right . . . is another story . . . . .

Actually, satan was the most beautiful, again read Ez 28. He was full of wisdom and beauty.

We don't, thank the Lord, but the Tribulation believers will have to.
