Gov. Timothy Kaine of Virginia has affirmed his support for a new statewide policy under which state troopers serving as chaplains will not be allowed to pray "in Jesus name," explaining that he can pray "without mentioning Jesus."
"I would never do anything to inhibit anybody's religious worship. It doesn't diminish my ability to worship my God, to pray to the Father or the Lord without mentioning Jesus Christ," he said.

Well as a Virgina resident I don't find this surprising.
I've been asked multiple times to stop taking and reading my Bible in school. And I find it very disturbing that every Christian site including this one are blocked, but they have yet to block every porn and game site.

Kaine and Jim Webb are huge reasons why I HATE living in Virginia. Tim Kaine is an absolute disgrace! It's no wonder Kaine wants to ban Jesus' name from prayers. He's nothing but another left-leaning liberal loving morally corrupt politically correct Democrat.
This shows what kind of person and politician Kaine is - FOUR times he has stayed the execution of Edward Bell who was convicted of killing Winchester policeman Sgt. Ricky Timbrook in 1999. Ricky Timbrook's wife, Kelly, was seven months pregnant with their first child when he was point blank shot in the head by Bell. Because of Kaine's refusal to carry out Bell's execution, Bell's case will now be heard before the U.S. Supreme Court in November in an effort to get them to overturn his death sentence. One of the ploys Bell's attorneys are using is that Virginia's death penalty of lethal injection is "cruel and unusual punishment". Kaine has publicly stated he is against the death penalty. Cruel and unusual punishment was Bell killing a 32 year old husband and father-to-be! Not only should Bell be executed, but Kaine should have to physically go to Ricky Timbrook's wife and the son who never got to see his father and explain why he not only REFUSED to carry out this murderer's very legal death sentence, but helped this man get his case heard before the Supreme Court in an effort to overturn it!!! I would love to impeach Kaine, but unfortunately he's the darling of Northern VA and just as infortunate the power and money to keep idiots like Kaine in control is coming from the northern part of our state. It's disgusting!!! The Democrats and liberals have ruined this once wonderful state.

Well, any TRUE believer would disagree, if you limit my praying to Jesus, you're interfering with my prayer. :doh Having anyone of all faiths joining together and praying together to "God" or "Almighty" does not mean they are praying to the same God as I do. I wonder what would happen if restrictions were put on Muslim prayer and HOW they could pray?
Sick, sick world.

Tim Kaine is a joke and because he is Catholic it doesn't bother him not to pray in Jesus' name. What about state troopers who are born again, he says he wouldn't do anything to inhibit anybody's worship but he is doing that because for a Christian not to pray in the name of Jesus is unnatural. One thing besides the obvious that this tells me is that Christianity and belief in Christ really does scare a lot of people. It's one reason you know that Christianity is the real deal. I'm so disappointed with Virginia of late and I am sure I will have additional reason to be upset after Nov. 4 if the election goes to Obama. However, on the upside, I live in Prince William County and Michael Barone considers it a bellweather county for our state in the election....provided we go for McCain.

You keep on taking and reading your Bible in school or wherever you are. You have no idea what sort of positive impact you may have on some around you.:hat
