I have been attempting (all afternoon) to download christian music. Some sites have askled for my credit card, others not. Anyway, I just bought the mp3 player today, and can't figure out how to put the first song on it! There is no button on these sites that can help me. I even tried to download from a disc that I own, and ran into problems there too. Can anyone give me a site and step by step instruction? I'm 47, my husband is 53, and I guess we've lost the loop.:ohno

The legal sites will require you to pay. There isn't a legal way to download free music unless the artist publishes it freely.

With my kid's mp3 players you just copy the music from your hard drive to the mp3 player (it'll show up as another drive when you plug in in via a usb port.)

Allot of it depends on what kind of mp3 player you are using. I have a Sandisk Sansa mp3 player. When I plug it into the USB port on the computer, the computer automatically detects it and gives it a drive letter. Then I simply copy and paste the mp3's from the "My Music" folder to the mp3 drive.
