Me and my wife went through a discipleship and our former pastor told us we are gods. That really caught my attention.

A lot of those pictured are not WOF'ers. They all have their own ministries. Now that you have looked at second-hand biased opinions, lets look at their own sites.

Statement of Faith - Kenneth Copeland Ministries

We believe in one God-Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Creator of all things.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, was crucified, died, was buried, was resurrected, ascended into heaven, and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father and is true God and true man.

We believe the Bible in its entirety to be the inspired Word of God and the infallible rule of faith and conduct.

We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the eternal happiness of the saved, and the eternal punishment of the lost.

We believe in personal salvation of believers through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.

We believe in sanctification through the Word of God and by the Holy Spirit, and we believe in personal holiness, purity of heart and life.

We believe in divine healing, through faith in the Name of Jesus Christ, and that healing is included in the Redemption.

We believe in water baptism, in the Baptism in the Holy Spirit as distinct from the New Birth, in speaking with tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance (Acts 2:4), in the gifts of the Spirit, and the evidence of the fruit of the Spirit. We believe that all of these are available to believers.

We believe in the Christian's hope-the soon-coming, personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Statement of Faith - Joyce Meyers Ministries
The Bible is the infallible Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit, and contains every answer to man's problems.

2 Timothy 3:16,17; 2 Peter 1:20,21 There is one God, existing eternally in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

John 10:30; John 14:26; Philippians 2:5-7 God is Love and He loves all people. It is His desire to reach out to those who are poor, oppressed, widowed or orphaned, and to heal the brokenhearted.

Psalm 68:5,6; 1 John 4:16 Man is created in the image of God but separated from God by sin. Without Jesus we cannot have a relationship with God.

Genesis 1:26; 1 Timothy 2:5 We can have a personal relationship with God through salvation, God's free gift to man. It is not a result of what we do, but it is only available through God's unearned favor. By admitting we have sinned and believing in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ, and accepting Him as Lord, we can spend eternity with God.

Ephesians 2:8,9; Romans 5:1; Romans 3:24 We believe in water baptism, as taught and demonstrated by Jesus, as the way for believers to identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.

Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4; Matthew 3:13-17 The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is a gift from God. He helps empower the believer to develop the character of Christ and live every day in God's will.

Matthew 3:11; Acts 2:4 God gives all believers spiritual gifts. They are for the strengthening of God's people (the Church) and proof of God's existence and power to unbelievers. The gifts of the Spirit are active and relevant today.

1 Corinthians 12:4-11; 1 Peter 4:10 Sanctification is the ongoing process of allowing God's character to be developed in us.

Romans 6:19; Galatians 5:22-25 Divine healing is active in the lives of people today through Jesus, who is the Healer. Healing includes physical, mental, emotional and spiritual restoration.

Luke 9:11; Matthew 9:35; Acts 10:38; Matthew 10:1 The Bible describes hell as a real place. It is a place of suffering and a place of permanent separation from God for those who die without accepting Christ. God's desire is that no one be separated from Him for eternity, which is why He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to earth.

Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 20:12-15; John 3:16-18 Jesus will return and take all those who have accepted Him as Savior to heaven for eternity.

Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17; Hebrews 9:28

I don't know if Joyce Meyers is WOF, but Benny Hinn is definitely not.

Benny Hinn's His Faith Statement is very long too - http://www.bennyhinn.org/aboutus/faithstatement.cfm

They asked what was the doctrine of the WOF..
yes I gave them some sites that had individual ministries attached to them.. they claim to be part of the WOF movement.. why leave them out?

How odd that you would say they are NOT apart of the WOF... when in fact they are.. is it second hand bias when we hear from their own lips about the Word of Faith message?
I don't think the WOF would refer to themselves as a cult or accuse themselves of mishandling the scriptures??...:scratch

These sort of sites are out to do nothing but distort the truth.

I was told my old church had some of these qualities but I do not have a understanding of this doctrine.

WoF is in a nutshell the same doctrine that Satan presented to Eve.

It may be wrapped up in a Gospel wrapper, but at the core it is wrong.

The true Gospel has at it's core the Salvation of G-d, through the presentation of G-d's Word in the human form of Messiah, who bore our transgression and without recognition and acceptance of our depraved condition and His work, we are doomed eternally.

That message, although paid lip service by many who are of the WoF, that it is faith (the fruit of the tree of knowledge) and often leaving G-d out as a "need", but saying that if given enough "faith". then we can do as G-d.

Even though Messiah stated that we would do tremendous works, it was predicated upon the foundation of Messiah, the Chief Cornerstone, and not upon "faith" alone.

Compare to the message that with the "Fruit" Eve was told that she would be as G-d.

WoF asks people to prove by sacrifice, (usually money) in so many forms, i.e. love gifts, seeds of faith, and so forth.

G-d says accept our fallen position, accept His Son's death, burial and resurrection, and by doing so we will have eternal life, healing prosperity and everything. Just because it does not manifest itself in this lifetime, or by man's interpretation of fulfillment does not mean it has not happened.

A believer has cancer and he and his family pray and believe G-d will heal him, yet he dies. The WoF say, he did not have strong faith , or he had secret sin or something. Yet G=d declares that this man is perfected by His Son and will have a glorified, perfect and healed body. His healing was eternal and complete by the Son, and realized upon salvation. With our eyes we see a mortal body which decays. G-d sees a sinner who has become eternal.

To be granted freedom form cancer and a few more years to this life, is not the same as the eternal "healing" that the salvation regeneration and reconciliation to G-d brings.

The WoF message is focused on this life, this world and not of G-d's.

The WoF may speak some truths, but those truths are G-d's and it matters not what those would say.

The woman who followed after Paul and Silas cried the truth, "These men are of the Most High G-d!" yet they rebuked her. (She spoke the truth, but that was not enough, nor her truth but G-d's).

The demons also believe, yet they tremble.

WoF is dangerous, because it is so hidden in the truth, and those who are willing to please and obey G-d, often find themselves mislead.

The bible warns those false shepherds against harming the flock, as well as warning the flock to be careful and judge shepherds.

WoF has many defenders.

true believers will tell you to test people against the scripture to see if they line up.

G-d, His Word and true followers need no defense, for G-d is their defense.

If someone is defending in a manner that appears overly protective or justifying, then that may serve as a warning.

btw, almost anyone who seeks the truth about WoF will find that G-d will open their eyes. In more than 30 years, I have never seen the contrary to this.

Hope that helps.
