U.S. stocks have been on a wild ride today as investors try to make heads or tails of a coordinated effort by the Federal Reserve and central banks around the world to lower interest rates.

Good observation. If the interest rate goes any lower, it will be negative - then what?

After WWII Japan had it's rate cut to 0% by their governement. This basically ment no money was being given out in loans. Without the help of the US and other countries they wouldn't have come out of this time. Since today's issues are global there isn't anybody able to help out anybody else. Do some research and look at what happened to Japan after WWII with a 0% rate....

NO we are at 1.5%.. Could be 2-3 Fed cuts away from 0% though...
