Given all the wonderful people we have visiting here, I thought maybe someone might know the answer to the question I have concerning this.
For starters, back in 2003 I passed exam 70-210 for Windows 200 Professional, thus earning myself an MCP certification.
As it turns out, that exam was retired in March of this year.
My questions then are, does that mean I'm no longer an MCP? And, how do I go about upgrading my cert? Do I have to pay the $$ and take the Windows XP version (70-270 or 271, I think) just like anyone else that's never been certified?

You could put on your resume MCP (Windows 2000 Workstation). If you can afford it, also take the Windows Vista exam. Depending on where you live, you could call Athena Learning Center, Pometric[sic] Testing Center, New Horizon for upgrading your MS certification. I have a friend who is an MCSE 2003 and to renew his MCSE to 2008, all he has to do is take two exams. I hope that helps you.

I believe you are correct that you are no longer an MCP. Several certifications require a renewal every 2 years. I would say that since your cert has been 5 years and XP and now Vista has been released then it may make your cert out of date. I would definitely look into updating your cert as not many business use 2000 Pro anymore.
