Hey everyone! I was wondering if some of you guys have Google Earth and looked up Area 51? A couple months ago, It wasnt even there, But when I looked it up recently, I was shocked to see it actually taking me there instead of an error and it showed up a couple of buildings for Area 51. Anyways...I'm not into Aliens and all that, but I thought it was kinda interesting. So, whaddaya think?

I can't find it. I need a more specific address or something better to go on besides "area 51". A bunch of streets named 51st street popped up for me.
You got any better address?

Huh? Really? That is very weird, Mine only shows one "Area 51" with a few non-descript buildings. Well, whatever...Just something to fool around with...:aha

IIRC, if you search for "Groom Lake" instead of "Area 51" you've always been able to get that pic. I'm not sure if "Area 51" is actually a real name for the place, or if it's something made up by the media.
The whole of Nellis Air Force Base is quite interesting from the air actually, especially the air weapons ranges where you can see all the different targets.

Area 51.....
The government denied the existence of it for a very long time. The only reason they finally admitted in the 90s that it existed was because there were satellite shots of it taken by the Russians that were circulating around. So yeah, the public, found out from the Russians that the place exists.
I have a friend who is ex-Air Force. He was actually stationed there for awhile and was in crash recovery. Only problem was that his clearance wasn't high enough to go out on some of the recoveries.
I was going to go out there the last time I was in Las Vegas, but didn't have the time. Part of it is because the only thing you'll see are these:

Or these:

And, of course, these:

But if you get really close enough, you'll see theses guys, who have the authority to shoot you:

True fact---the Las Vegas minor league baseball team's name is the 51's. Of course, they have an alien as their mascot:

Area 51 is pretty well known by now......it's Area 99 where all the really freaky stuff happens!
And here's one of the tee-shirts for the Las Vegas 51s, the team FrankBeMe mentioned:
