Question About the "Outer Darkness"

Alright, Ive been talking with my cousin about the Rapture and Salvation and I told him that we would be saved if we accepted Jesus by Romans 10:9 and the works. Well he started saying that there would be Christians that were unfaithful but still got saved but were not allowed into the Gates of Heaven, and he referred to this area as the Outer Darkness which he said wasnt Hell and was outside the Gates of Heaven in Matthew 25:28-30.
Now, if there is a thread, article, Anything thats been posted about this issue, please show me. I am confused about this


Here are his exact words that he said to me concerning this "But those Christians who are unfaithful (Matt. 25:28-30) will have their rewards taken from them and given to those who were faithful, and, and they will be cast into "outer darkness," the place where there shall be "weeping and gnashing of teeth." The "outer darkness" described in this passage is not a description of hell, but is likely a lesser status in God's kingdom. Unfaithful Christians will see more diligent Christians rule and reign with Christ. Seeing that they could have had much greater reward and prominence in God's kingdom, these unfaithful stewards will weep and gnash their teeth in deep remorse and regret."

It says that there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Sounds like hell to me.

Outer darkness are the places away from the light of God. That's where hell is, away from the light of God. Utter darkness.

From scripture, I've never gotten the idea that there is anything in-between heaven and hell where people will exist for eternity.

Ahhhhh, nevermind!!! Sorry! This is not the Right source, gaahhh! my cousin didnt really take me seriously and gave me a different source. Apparently he doesnt really know what he's talking about...nevermind guys
