BLESSED BEYOND BELIEF

I am going to have to get a new laptop pretty soon and I wanted to know if I have to get one with Vista? Is it possible to get a new one and have Windows XP put on it legally? I have so many programs that will not run with Vista. Thank you :hat
I am still wondering of I should bite the bullet and get Vista? I was online looking at Best Buy and it apppeared that they were offering laptops with XP Professional. Does anyone know about this??? Again, thank you. :hat I posted below some information from a friend about Vista's compatibility with certain programs.

I believe most major computer manufacturers still offer XP in lieu of Vista.

I checked Dell, they only offer XP on PC's, not notebooks. Gateway does not appear to offer XP on any computers.

Well, I think if you phone Dell up and speak with customer service directly they would allow you to order a laptop with XP.
Worth a try.

As long as there are drivers available for the machine available on the manufacturer's website, replacing Vista with XP is pretty easy. There are still plenty of valid copies of XP available.
