While reading Mark 13, I was surprised to find myself thinking deeply about verse 17.
"But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!"
I wondered why "woe" was only to those women who were pregnant or nursing. Anyone with a five year old knows how hard it is to travel quickly and with nothing! The men would be in the fields or house tops (see verses 15 or 16) and not many around to help with the children or pregnant wives.
So I began to think that maybe it will be because there will be no children over the age of weaning. So I researched what the age was to wean back in historical times, and came up with the age of 2.
So, if the Rapture occurs and takes all the children under the age of consent, add the 9 months for a baby to be born, and then the maximum age of 2 for weaning, you end up with roughly 3 to 4 years which would coincide nicely with the time of the confirming of the covenant and the AOD.
Any thoughts?
