Tonight I'm heading to a Ladies Night out and was looking forward to bringing an h'ordeurve of crusty bread slices and tapenade spread.

However, WalMart has discontinued it. Along with my cheese stuffed tortellini I used to buy for sausage tortellini soup! :idunno

I'm miffed. Or irked, or annoyed, or peeved. Or whatever. LOL It's hard to find items in little southern towns like this. :lol2

I'm also wondering how much of a pain it would be to try to make some up. Anyone ever made tapenade?

(Edit - whoops I forgot to change the spelling in the title.)

Valerie,

I found this recipe on www.allrecipes.com

1 clove garlic, chopped
1 3/4 cups whole, pitted kalamata olives
1 (2 ounce) can anchovy fillets, rinsed
2 tablespoons capers
1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
1 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary
3 tablespoons lemon juice
4 tablespoons olive oil

DIRECTIONS
Combine garlic, olives, anchovies, capers, thyme, rosemary and lemon juice in an electric blender. Slowly drip the olive oil into the blender while you are blending the ingredients together. Blend until a paste is formed.

Hope this is what you are looking for. Sassy Granny got me hooked up with this website for recipes and I just love it.:nod
