How is everyone doing? I am hanging in there. But most definately seeing some areas in my life that want to pull me back into smoking. I tell ya, that satan is not going to quit is he? I have resisted, but this weekend, saw that resistance being lowered. So, I have dove into my Bible looking for help and answers, which really I know the answers, I have to quit the behavior. I have called on the Holy Spirit to lift me up, to watch over me. I read in Matt. and this really spoke to me along with other verses. "Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The Spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak" 26:41 Yep, that is me!! I guess I was getting a little cocky with my, "I quit smoking". My flesh was screaming for a smoke!! I don't want to be in that situation again. So, no more drinking!!! There I said it, now I need prayer from all of you to help me stick with it. I was around a smoker for the first time. Oh, it was so tempting, and of course the alcohol was making me think, oh just one. I am so thankful to my Lord and Savior that I didn't take that one puff. So more temple cleaning, my witness will be even stronger. I know I need to stay in His word daily, to stay strong. I am going on vacation for a couple weeks, and will be around LOTS of family smokers!! I have been nervous about this, but after handing this over to the Lord this morning, I have to say, I am not nervous anymore. He will sustain me, He will be by my side and satan hasn't got a chance to tempt me, for I belong to Jesus Christ, the only son of the living God, I have been given the gift of the Holy Spirit, who lives in me, and guides me in His ways. AMEN!!! I am keeping all of you here on RR in my prayers. I also have for the first time met non-Christians. Yes, this is a first for me. It has really opened my eyes to the power that satan has and is welding on this earth. He is grabbing and snatching as many souls as he can. We are at War, grab your armor my fellow Christians. My eyes have been opened, I am not scared, but I have been shaken. So, I pray for these souls, may the words I speak to them come from the Holy Spirit, not me. May my witness be for His Glory and honor. Thank goodness my witness has always been free of smoke and alcohol. I want it to stay that way. Now, I am off for vacation!! Thank you for your prayers, I really do appreciate them, and yes your love, is so greatly appreciated too.
