I haven't been on this thread for awhile...but just had to update you one what's going on!

I've been struggling terribly with quiting...i'm SOOOO addicted and i actually like smoking, most of the time. I'd tried everything i could think of. Right now i'm in Germany visiting my son and family, he's in the Army and stationed here (in fact he bought me the ticket to come here for 2 weeks!). I haven't had a cigarette since i was dropped off at the airport in Detroit to come here, that was on 4/10/10. So it's now been 1 1/2 weeks with no cigarette...which if you really knew me would know that that is a HUGE thing! I do have the nicotine inhalers, and the electronic cigarette that i purchased before coming and those have helped me tremendously. I'm just hoping and praying i can stick with it after i get home, which should be Saturday. Thats IF our (my daughter is here with me) plane leaves when it's supposed to since the volcano is still acting up!
I thought it may work since i'd be out of my natural environment (home, work, etc) and i can't drive over here so i can't just hop in the car and go to the store for any. There's been times i've really wanted one badly, but i've gotten through it.
Please keep me in your prayers to be able to continue this once i get home...that's going to be a really big test for me! I want this so badly, and i can really tell the difference in my breathing and how i feel...thanks and God Bless you for all your support!:wave

In the past and by my own efforts I have often given up cigarettes for short periods of time but was easily led back to them.

I have been smoke free now for 6 years and I praise the Lord for he gave me his strength to overcome my addiction. :yeah

Thanks!!! I really hope i can keep this up after i get home and back to the normal life of work, bills, etc...those are my "excuses" for smoking, the stress! I'm very weak when it comes to this, and God will most likely have to work overtime on me (lol!)...but right now i'm very determined to do this!!!
