Quiting smoking is the hardest thing I have ever done. Smoked from age of 13 to 52. I quit 2 years ago because my wife has athsma and was very unhappy with the second hand smoke on my clothes and my smoke breath. She started to make me take a shower after every time I smoked and brush my teeth. After a couple of weeks of that I decided I had to quit smoking to make my marriage work. It also brought me closer to god because our body is the temple of the holy spirit. The urge to smoke never goes away for good but it takes discipline and I avoid smokers in front of me. Good luck quiting.

I forgot add that quitting any bad habit is HARD!

Is there anything to hard for the Lord?

I know what you are thinking....Nothing is too hard for the Lord because He is God!
But as His children ,don't you think if we read His Word, pray and yes even fasted that God would help us, give us the strength to say "No" to our bad habits more often than yielding to them.

I am going to try and use my own advice and see if I can break one of my bad habits, no smoking is not one of them....:lol2
