Hey !! If I can do it then trust me ANYONE can :aha I am a true die hard smoker, the problem was I liked smoking !! :hehee But I prayed and prayed for the Lord to give me the desire and the strength to quit and the more I prayed the more I wanted to be free. I am still in the early stages of quiting but I feel very postive that this is it and I will not go back. This board helped me alot, Just reading how many have quit, I knew if they could I could !!! I already feel so much better after only 2 weeks and that amazes me,
Come on ........ Join us :)

i liked somking too. I didn't smoke for to many years, but was enough to keep me hooked..Thank God he helped me get over it. Best thing for me was to dump all my smoking friends, or at least keep away from them when they smoked.

Back to OP..
Praise God he helped you quit.. Our Lord is an awesome Lord who will help his children overcome any habbit, if one is willing of course :)

I'm glad to see you guys are giving this bad habit over to the Lord, and relying on His strength to stop smoking!

This thread makes me think of a young boy in my church growing up, who when it was time for "prayer requests", he would raise his hand, and say in front of everybody (including his dad) that his prayer request was for his dad to stop smoking. It was always so cute, but it went on for years, and I wonder if several got the point where they wanted to say to the father: "Would you PLEASE stop smoking?!" :-)

Hi,

I have been been smoke free for 6 days now!!!! I am determined to stay away from this terrible habit. I have stopped for 3 months before, but gave in after buying a car. I am praying daily for Gods help...

This thread is a blessing for me.. Good to know others stories and be able to read this doing the day to stay strong and never go back.

i've been 25 days without smoking or playing WoW, i've tried quitting before and failed both multiple times. I'm letting God take care of it cause i can't do it on my own. The reason why i mention WoW (world of warcraft) is cause i smoked 1/2 a pack day while playing it and they went hand in hand together. But im thankful that these 2 addictions are taken away and i hope he can take others in which i know need to go.

Today is 3 weeks :yeah It sure feels alot longer than 3 weeks ! I am doing pretty good though I still have moments of just missing them, But I feel so much better now, it is great to break out of that prison. They really do enslave you. YAY for Haybales for quitting again, that had to be hard to quit again!!

Iwillnotstumble.......... I played UO for 5 years so I know what you are talking about, That is just as addicitive as smoking, they go hand in hand !! I admire you for quitting them both ! That has to be tough but I will pray for you too!!
WE can do it !!!:hehee
