What helps sometimes is thinking that the craving=temptation. Thinking of the enemy standing in front of you blowing smoke in your face when you have the craving. And the enemy just smiling at the thought of you caving in, like he so expects it of you. This can make you more aware of the battle you are in. So sometimes it is so tough but you find other times, the feeling passes after a few deep breaths or whatever. Sometimes saying the name of Jesus outloud, knowing you are not in the battle alone. Quitting smoking is like coming out of a fog, I think you realize gee, why did I do that for so long? Much love to you going through this.

:)May the list of quitters continue to grow!
I think it is different for each person. Pray for strength from God. I dream about smoking, and enjoying it sometimes. I hate that, I wake up feeling like I lost the battle sometimes, but then I realize it was just a dream....
My husband smokes, and there are times I think about just getting one of his, and then I remember how hard it has been to finally quit and allow it to be a passing thought. It is a moment by moment struggle. Do not give up, you do not have to give in. this is more about bringing your body into subjection. Self-control. I will be praying for you.
