Stop Smoking praise thread!!

For all of you having a problem quitting I smoked 2 to 4 packs a day for 30 years. I stay quit by the power of the Lord. I used "ZYBAN" to quit it really really works!!! It costs about $100 but is worth every penny! What it does is break the addiction center in the brain and when you use it it is soo cool because you can no longer feel the smoke entering your body! "ZYBAN" folks "ZYBAN"

August 25 2002 I was in deep prayer for my son and while in church I felt my nicotine addiction leave my body from the bottom of my feet out the top of my head. I didn't tell my husband until later that night. But PRAISE GOD I have never had one craving or desire to smoke. I am still praying for son's lifestyle choices, but believe and claim one day my son will also be set free. I just have to :candle keep my light bright.

Hey, everybody. It's nice to see that others are trying to quit also. Tomorrow's a new day. I did the patch a while back, but then I caved in. I'll start all over again tomorrow. It's hard to talk to others about Christ when they know I smoke. Therefore, the cigs have gotta go!!!

I don't believe smoking negates your christian example. ANYTHING in excess is not healthy, but LIGHT smoking isn't so bad. Research only goes to supporting the argument. How can you prove w/o testing to disprove? I read in an article(Dallas Morning News 05'), that scientists are "baffled" that while smoking rates have decreased, cancer has increased. There is the "if one should cause another to fall" concept, & if those who believe(albeit mistakingly) that christians can't smoke would not here your witness, you would be wise in your efforts & I support you. I am cutting from 1 to 3/4 packs due to financial reasons:) I simply feel no conviction from God in needing to quit smoking. I applaud your decision in doing what you feel right.
