I agree, I would rather be a smoker and hurt my own body than to say something so painful that I hurt another soul.

But non-smoking is my choice. I have never smoked. But I am overweight and I am doing something about it.

Let us pray for one another..

Oh I forgot one thing....can a Christian be a smoker. Yes, and we have a list
of ex-smokers who were and are Christians.

Remember: Don't be harder on yourself than you would be to a friend.

I'm joining the quitters!! Tomorrow is day 1.

I have prepared myself. Bought all my quitting supplies. Cinnamon mints. Yarn for knitting to keep my hands busy. Grapefruit juice & Vitamin C tablets. Luckily I have a busy weekend with a relatives wedding shower, so that should help. This is not going to be easy, but I will get through it with prayer.... :pray

I'm doing well so far :) Twitching a bit, but staying strong.
I know once I get to day 4, I will feel so much better. I have quit a few times in the past, for months at a time. Day 4 was always when the withdrawels really decreased and I felt super refreshed.
Thank You, Lord for giving me strength!!

Well, today is the first day of my quitting program. I'm praying that I will stay smoke free from now until forever more! Looking at pics of people with lip and lung cancer also did me in. Wearing my patch now and weathering a bit of a headache, but doing OK so far. Ready to improve my witness, starting now! :hat

Thank you for the kind words. Everyone, keep your heads up. I read somewhere (could have been on this thread) that it is easier to have NONE than ONE! Do I know that now.
