I've been a smoker since I was 12 years old and today I am finally quitting for good! In all my years of smoking I have never seen anything so repulsive as I did today and I can only take this as the work of the Lord to help me to stop.

I pulled a smoke out of my pack and was about to light it when I saw something moving, yes MOVING on the end of the cigarette!!! It was some sort of little worm. I don't know about you guys in the states but here in Canada you can't buy a pack without a picture of cancerous lungs, heart or mouth and that never really moved me but this tiny little worm (could also have been a maggot :puke ) just grossed me out so bad that I'll have that permanent reminder every time I think about lighting up.

What's amazing about this is I was doing some housework right before this happened and as I was cleaning the filter on the air conditioner I noticed how filty it was from nicotine and how much filthier my lungs must be and I was asking the Lord to deliver me from this addiction!!!

Okay. Thanks. I'm getting back on the horse. A couple sneaked cigs does not give me permission to go back, right? And I need some suggestions on how do deal with visiting my parents' house where my step dad and sister both smoke. When I was there yesterday, it was too easy to bum one. So what can I do? I need to visit my folks!
