I dont know about everyone else, but I found the first week and 1/2 to be the most challenging. It's been over a month now and yes I still have those times :hehee but they go by quick now. Now I feel like Iam reaping the rewards, more money in my pocket, I can breath so much better, better sleep at night, it goes on and on.

Last night I had a dream that I smoked. Boy was I disappointed in myself!
My mom has been quit for over 10 years and she says she will still on occasion have a dream where she'll smoke.

I just wanted to let you all know that I will support you. For those that have quit way to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know it's so hard to quit. I smoked and smoked for years and quit last January when I found out I was pregnant with my son. I did it cold turkey. It certainly wasn't easy either. But, I do feel better now. Now if I can just lose the weight. LOL

I was what people consider a heavy smoker. So I tried this new drug called chantrix. For people that are having a hard time quiting, I HIGHLY recommed this drug. There are a few small side effects, but the over all effect on giving you control over smoking is MORE than worth it. Ive been on it now for a month, and have been smoke free for 3 weeks. For me, that is litteraly a mirical. Praise to the most high for showing me a away out.

I'm currently taking the Chantix. I have cut down some. The Chantix does help with the craving, but of course, it cannot possibly help with the obsession.
Thats what the last two weeks on Chantix have taught me. Yes, I have a physical addiction, but I also have a mental one.
But I refuse to give up.

You all hang in there and know that it can be defeated. I smoked for 20 years (started when I was 13) and I quit. I have not smoked now for 15 years . I had tried many times over the years to quit but what finally worked for me was praying with another believer about it and having the desire to quit because I suddenly realized that my was the Lords temple and I wanted to quit for Him more then for me. I used to read my bible and smoke and I just got convicted of what I was doing. He gave me the verse " I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me", the first few days were tough I actually cried at work one day. But by the 4th day something had changed I no longer desired the cigarettes like I had before and I KNEW I would make it. I credit the power of the Lord on my behalf.
So just an encouragment to all who are struggling, if I can do it so can you. God is faithful !
