I just talked with my mother who is a cancer survivor and is in her 80's is going to be praying for you who are struggling to quit the habit.She said that you can do it with the Lord as your Strength! Thanks for your prayer

I too am trying to give up smoking. I quit many years ago but started again. That was dumb!!! I am ready to give it my all.. Praise the Lord...

I am praying for you, I quit Dec. 26th. And I have quit many times over the last 30 years! But this time I KNEW that I was going to make it. The Holy Spirit had been talking to me over the last year and let me know that He was with me this time, IF I would ask Him to be with me. I have had only 2 bad days, I am using the gum, not as much as I thought I would. I have my family prayer warriors, Church prayer warriors and this board praying for me. I posted scripture everywhere in my house, the one that gets me through the best...In the day when I cried out You answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul. Psalm 138:3 Those first few days, I really cried out too, and the Lord answered me with a calming peace, He let me know that He WAS with me. My mission...Clean and renovate my temple. It is a nasty job that has 30 years of crud in it, but I think it is now clean, and renovations are going better (daily exercise, lots of water, and better diet). God be with you, trust in Him and yourself, look for that encouragement, cry out for help when you need it. Prayers for all of us!
