I am ready for tomorrow, the beginning of my journey to end this addiction. I feel strong mentally, I feel every one of you guys prayers! Thank you! This medication is really starting to work, I notice I am wanting to smoking less everyday. I have faith that God will guide me through this, and I will be able to obey better due to the medication. Peggy, I am so happy for you. You must feel the greatest sense of relief. I am going day to day, and looking forward to the day with I totally forget to count. You guys are such a blessing to me! Thank you for such wonderful support!

Okay, can someone please explain to me why you would spend a ton of money on prescription medications to quit smoking when you could do it drug free w/ the 10 dollar Allen Carr book? I'm not criticizing you; I'm just trying to understand. Thanks!

Are you a smoker or former smoker?

praise the lord!!!!

Praising him with you today Peggy and doing it smoke free!! I am doing okay this morning. Had my last one at 9:00 last night. Checked in with Quit Net, they are very encouraging there too, but this is my favorite place to come to. I have a busy day planned, Bible Study this morning, then some shopping to get done, phone calls to make, quilts to work on, etc. I know I will be pulling on the Lord all day, and will be tired by evening and want to relax, there is my speed bump! So, I will have to come up with a new GOOD habit to help me relax. Have a great day, thank you so much for your support.
HEY MARY, thank you too. You guys are angels!
Sandy

JoyfulSister, keeping you in my prayers and lifting you up to the Lord! Praying He gives you the strength to overcome this habit. I completely understand the "anxiety" when you think of "d-day" coming up...lol, but rest assured that if you do your part which is to take the initiative to quit (your pills) then you need to leave the rest to God. He has promised never to give us more than we can bare but we have to do our part and take the first step.

I know for me that from day one, I got on my knees and told God that I admit, there is no way that I can quit this habit on my own, I admitted every last fear I had about giving up the habit....I promised the Lord that I would make the first step (for me it was putting on the patch) but that I was depending on Him (and I truly was with all my heart ~ no reservations, no axiety about the upcoming "d-day", just put it in His hands) to take the baton after that...................till this day I still can't put it into words but the Lord came through, I put on that patch and never looked back and lo and behold I didn't even have cravings!!!

We serve a risen Savior, a Mighty Lord, an awesome God! Ask and ye shall receive, seek and ye shall find, Praise the Lord that we have such a faithful friend in Him!!!

I will keep you in my prayers and hey, I'll call you everynight too if it will help give you strength!!:hug:hug
