Anyone ever notice that "tolerance" doesn't tolerate Christ?

The sin nature in people wil only tolerate that which doesn't call them to repent of their sin natures.

Exactly.

Where this boys heart is, what his reasoning for choosing to dress as Jesus, is besides the point. Because I bet you if he had dressed as something else, silly, or funny, that also garnered much attention, and "distracted" the students in the same manner, that he would have been asked to leave. On the contrary, I bet teachers would have been laughing right along, and admiring him, and telling him "good job, great costume!".

I work at a middle school. I dressed up as an angel for Halloween yesterday. I did so because I knew kids would ask me about it, and they did.

Some asked, "Why did you dress up as an angel? It's not scary." I said, "Well, in the Bible, everyone who ever encountered an angel was fearful and fell on their faces. They do important work for God." They were perplexed. I told some that didn't believe me to look it up for themselves. :idunno

The kid who dressed up as Jesus planted some seeds of curiosity in students at his school. I have no doubt about it. I know my stance isn't popular, and that is fine. But if he was going to participate in the festivities at all, I'm glad he made a statement about our Lord in doing so.

Gotta plant those seeds however we can.

Our Loving God does not allow anything to happen he does not want to happen. That child dressing as Jesus certainly did d plant a few seeds. Especially one in his head. He learned how it was to be Jesus and made to leave because of who he was.
I think Adults put too much stuff into children's heads instead of letting them have fun.. Halloween to me is not about evil.. It was only about candy and fun and dancing and the time before Christmas and our wonderful friend Santa Clause..

I feel so sorry for the little boy though.. He admired the Lord.. Wanted to be like him as we are taught to be.. We are supposed to be just like Jesus and give and care and love.. If I was the mother of this child I would be suing ..Though probably not going to go too far..

May God bless you all with peace, happiness and as much love as you can handle..

Praying for that boy for the Lord to help Him understand and come to know Jesus as His Lord & Saviour. Praying for the kids at school who were curious about the boy in the Jesus costume that they will get to hear the gospel message. Praying for the teachers, may God have mercy on them and give them spiritual eyes to see. Amen

If you ask me ANY costume in a school is a distraction...... We don't know the whole intention behind the kid's costume selection, but still........ if this was another "Let's keep Christ out of the view of school" like we've had before, then the problem still lies in the school's "tollerance"...... heh...

yes...
we'll tolerate anything UNLESS its Christianity
and yea only his costume was a distraction :ohno

I really hope were out of here soon.
It seems to me its becoming so difficult for kids to be able to come to Jesus when they are indoctrinated with evil by the school system and media

Some of folks here need an enema of some sort. You take this stuff to far. What! not watch Jesus of Nazareth, The Passion, The Gospel of John, Passions plays all over the world that are played out to preach the Gospel to not only Christians but many of the unsaved masses who might attend such a play or movie and be convicted in one's heart of the Gospel message and start reading the Bible or go to Church. Its a visualization for goodness sake. Many Churches at least here in Cleveland, Ohio where I'm at encourage the young to dress up like Biblical figures as a witness to the world.

I don't think it's ok for people to do that.
