Britain's Crown Prince Charles arrived here Saturday for a five-day visit to promote forest conservation and interfaith dialogue.

Shortly after landing at Halim Perdanakusuma airport, Charles proceeded to the Istiqlal Mosque in Central Jakarta for talks with Din Syamsuddin, chairman of the country's second largest Muslim organization, the Muhammadiyah and noted Muslim scholars Azyumardi Azra and Tarmizi Taher.

Din said after the closed-door meeting that Prince Charles was committed to inter-faith dialogue, particularly between Muslims and Christians..........

He has been on this bandwagon for years. So much so there are also rumors that he secretly converted to Islam. I don't see any evidence that he has, but reaching out to Muslims is certainly high on his list. It may be because of the high numbers that live in London.

Yes, it's a reference to the Jim Jones' cult (People's Temple Cult). It's synonomous with "just believing what everyone else does" so that makes it right.

In other words, Prince Charles, being Catholic, under the edict of the Pope, is entering into an interfaith dialogue with the muslims.

He's drinking the kool-aid that Jim Jone's gave his cult members who all died.

Prince Charles' (catholicism) giving creedence to the muslims false god (allah) just proves that both are blasphemist in the eyes of Our Lord.

Prince Charles is not Catholic. British law states that the monarch (or anyone in line for the throne) cannot be, become or marry a Catholic. Prince Charles is, nominally, an Anglican and is in line to become the next titular head of the Anglican Church.

It is probably an attempt at appeasement because of the very large muslim population living in the UK. Shunning them completely is out of the question, if you are the country's leader. Meeting with mainstream scholars and others of the faith is quite different from meeting with extremists. Either way, I believe they are doing it to be in a position to know when there is tension and likely to be attacks of some kind. "keep your friends close and your enemies closer." :croc
