I'm not worried about the fate of "my" movement. I have no agenda other than the desire to live according to God's Word for as long as I'm on this earth. However, I don't want the government to institute laws that will use my tax dollars to pay for something I'm against!

The conservative Christian's have not been well represented in this country since Reagan and even he made no inroads on the things that matter to me most such as eliminating abortion. The sad truth about abortion is that young, naive, lower income women are specifically targeted by abortionists. No one likes to talk about the fact that abortion is linked to breast cancer and especially for our black sisters. Consider these statistics:

94% of all abortion clinics in this country are located in metropolitan areas;
Although Black America accounts for only 13% of our current population, nearly 36% of all abortions are performed on African Americans
Each day in America, over 1200 African American preborn babies are lost to abortion;
In numerous cities across America, there are a greater number of abortions than live births among African American women;
Abortion is the number one cause of death among African Americans surpassing all other causes combined.

I realize that because of our current social mores, pre-marital sex is the norm, but why not educate both male and female about the wide-spread availability of birth control? Further, I'm vehemently against the use of my tax dollars to pay for these murders!

I read some of the posted comments in the article and one guy talked about how awful Christian conservatives are. Some lumped us in with radical Islamists which couldn't be further from the truth, but people actually believe this!

And some groups that make fun of us on other websites even go so far as to post our comments out of context just to make us look bad! Guess it gives them bigger laughs that way!

The bottom line here is that I don't know a single born again Christian who puts their faith in man. Obama is just a man. I'm not a democrat or a republican. The GOP does not reflect my values!

I am concerned about an Obama presidency, but not so much for myself but instead for those who don't know the Lord and because I love this country so much and I don't want to see it swing to the far left like Europe!

Somehow public opinion of who we are has been badly skewed. Part of this is the crazy behavior by so-called Christians and part of this is intentional misrepresentation of our Christian values. To be honest, I don't care what gay people do. I'm against gay marriage specifically because it opens the door to "gay indoctrination"...the teaching of this lifestyle to school children (which is well documented, but those who want to poke fun of us are too lazy to look into this for themselves).

Since the garden of eden, man has been used as a pawn by satan to rebuke the Lord. The unbelieving masses are just blindly going along for the ride! Sadly, they will pay the price!

You know, after assimilating the election and pundantry for a few days, I have a few thoughts.

3 states have amended their state constitution to say that Marriage should be between a man and woman. Apart from this election, something on the order of 44 states have moved to amend their constitution or have a statute that protects traditional marriage values. No state that has attempted these changes have lost to the other side trying to stop it. This tells me that at least this conservative value is a WINNING issue for any conservative presidential Candidate. GOP constituency has not become less conservative, it's become less Republican. Why? Because Republicans are either not hearing out voice, or are ignoring it. I love sitting around listening to them try to figure out why Republicans lost this election. "How will the GOP re-invent itself again". "Woe is the GOP". Or as the OP linked story goes..."'Religious Right' in Disarray".

Perhaps this IS partly true. I do believe this election is going to make fence sitting Christianity more difficult. As it is now, things appear to be reversing. Gay and lesbians are no longer in the closet, they are open and vocal, while many professing Christians seem to be the ones hiding, and have lost their voice. What's evil is being called good and normal, human rights, while what is good is being called evil, or hate crime driven. I think if this President goes where I believe he wants to go, we as believers are about to face battles the likes we have never seen in our own nation.

I think God is prodding us to rise and stand for what is right, and stop simply giving Him Lip service. Iron Sharpens Iron as it were. I do not believe however, we as Christians should be in despair over the election, but instead should be putting on the full Armour of God and fighting the good fight. Perhaps the results of this election is just what the Doctor ordered.

"Conservatives Brace for the future under Obama?"

The Word says His Church is built on the Rock and the gates of Hell shall not prevail. Perhaps if we stand up the way God wants us to, it will be Obama and the Liberals who will be bracing for their futures under a Church on fire for God! :thumb

Anyhow, sorry to ramble, just needed to get that off my chest.

The thing many people gloss over is that this election was not about Obama, per se. People voted for him not because he introduced some brand new ideas to them but because they accept and prefer his implied Marxist and globalist ideals. That is where their hopes lie. Note when Christians are picked on there is little public outcry, because what makes an outcry public is how the media run with it, and the media in general is not sympathetic to Christian principles; they resent Christian Conservative influence.

The point being that Obama is not going to take this nation anywhere other than what most "liberals" and so-called main media outlets have been screaming for, for years. They 'hate' Bush not because he is ungracious (he is actually very gracious) but because he is seen as an obstruction to liberal and globalist ideals. Many are optimistic Obama will promote, or at least not hinder, their marxist/globalist dreams.

All preparing the stage for the end-times. Just a thought...

I see your point and no doubt there are those in this country who embrace socialist/globalist ideals, but I don't believe for one minute that those people represent the majority in this country. Voters seemed to be of two minds on Nov 4th. They voted for Obama and then they voted against gay marriage. What this tells me is that voters don't have a clue what Obama's agenda is.

The key in the Obama administration will be to soften up the American people to embrace the liberal agenda. Our role is to speak out loudly and often for the Christian values we hold dear. If we don't, the liberal propaganda machine will win. America is still up for grabs IMHO.
