'Child-witches' of Nigeria seek refuge

Mary is a pretty five-year-old girl with big brown eyes and a father who kicked her out onto the streets in one of the most dangerous parts of the world. Her crime: the local priest had denounced her as a witch and blamed her "evil powers" for causing her mother's death. Ostracised, vulnerable and frightened, she wandered the streets in south-eastern Nigeria, sleeping rough, struggling to stay alive.

It's unbelievable that something like this is happening in a "Christian" community. These poor children.

Okay, so the children are innocent. My main point was, the story made the news to make christianity look bad, and I'm tired of selective reporting.

Well, I want to be reasonable in my thinking. It IS possible that this is more propaganda fed to the world as a slam against Christians. Heck, we've all been subject to their slanted reporting, eh.

Anyways, whatever reason for the child being "put out" it's terrible! This should never ever happen.
