There's also a problem here in the fact that it's widely known that Pakistani Hamid Mir was the last journalist to interview OBL in 2001. This is the drawback of quotes from arabic/muslim sources, too often exaggerated propaganda.

Joe you been looking at Alex Jones haven't ya? I do agree, that the 'Al Quaeda' moniker was largely created after 9-11 (which they then incorporated for themselves), so we could put a face and label on it. But don't think for an instant that these characters aren't out here, with complex, well funded and determined goals to take us out.

Yossef Bodansky who wrote the Bible on Islamist goals and tactics (Bin Laden: The Man Who Declared War on America, 1999) used the word 'al quaeda' one time in a 500 page book in passing fashion. He also states that there is little difference between AQ and Iran and it's very much hand-in-hand cooperation that is supported by many influential and wealthy muslims. And yeah, OBL IS alive and well along with Mullah Omar in Pakistan

I believe that if you search a bit you will find warnings for the US from Australia, France and the UK in addition to our leaders to the same effect for the US and our interest in another thread on this board. They all announced within a 72 hour window I think.

Colan Powell was even specific to the Jan 21-22 time frame. The others were giving a several month window.
