I was looking through my educational bookmarks and came across one I thought I'd share.
It's a site that does virtual dissections. They would like to sell you a subscription but you can do a lot with the demos.

They give you directions as you go. It's pretty neat for the squeamish.

I saw that online a couple of years ago, when my child wasn't ready for that. Now maybe he is. Thanks for the reminder.

I'm teaching Apologia biology this year and we'll be doing real dissections starting in January, but this is great for practice beforehand. $30 for a year is less than an actual dissection kit.

As a nurse, I have to say that all children should do a hands-on dissection at least once. The Virtual Program is AWESOME and has a lot of educational value. However, nothing can compare to actually dissecting an animal.
