A Multnomah County school is closing so it can be scrubbed and sanitized after more than 60 children went home with what's suspected to be a stomach virus.

North Powellhurst School is a kindergarten center for the David Douglas School District.

About 25 percent of the school's kindergartners were absent Friday, due to vomiting or diarrhea, or both. The Multnomah County Health Department suspects a stomach virus is the cause.

A small college here in michigan is closed now and has been for several days because of a virus. They think it's the Neuro?? virus (don't know how to spell it!).

I gotta say I just had this. We took the kids to the Zoo Saturday, I was feeling great and then getting in the car to head home, it hit me. Hard. It lasted about 12 hours from start to finish. I'm still a little weak. Praying no one else gets it, it's horrible!

Those poor kids! The stomach flu ranges from mild to really bad. A few years ago my son woke up sick on Christmas morning. Though I tried to keep him hydrated, in the end I had to take him to the hospital and we spent the entire night until around 7am the next morning in emergency. They had to give him anti-nausea drugs and hydrate him. He was almost delirious by the time they got the IV's in him.

Glad you're feeling better lovin!
