someone got sick so they lockdown the school - AND take someone into custody? That sounds really odd to me....

Drugs?
The article states a reporter saying there was no lockdown, as students left the building and milled around. Hmmm...

:tsk Sad to say that when my daughter was in a public HS here in Florida a few years ago, her school went into lockdown ALL the time. Most were false threats, bomb threats. I hope everyone is okay. It's extremely scary when you can't get in to the school and your children are locked inside. I pray this is nothing. :pray Lord may these children be safe and the parents have your peace, which surpasses everything, to get through this fearful time!

Apparently, one girl may have assaulted another, since one girl was found unresponsive and taken to the hospital, and the other is in custody. :tsk Fox says the 15 year old is now deceased.

also said they had a gun in custody
There were unconfirmed reports of a possible shooting at the school, and police swarmed the Fort Lauderdale campus, according to WSVN.
Sousa declined to comment on whether or not shots were fired, but said investigators do have a gun in their possession.
