Well some believe that antichrist will claim to be all gods as every major religion still has a prophecy of the coming of the final god like being.

If I understand the teaching on the AC correctly....the AC will claim there is no god other than him (to clarify; the AC claims GODSHIP and to be GOD) regardless of your previous faith or beliefs, whether it was Allah, Buddha, Shiva, Maietreya, Zeus, Brahma, Vishnu....whatever.

Maitreya is another false Messiah, or may even be the AC. You can Google the name for more info, but it gets a little tricky because there are numerous spellings for it and I'm not sure which (if any) of them is correct. There used to be a web site (I can't seem to find it now) that reported on sightings of Maitreya, supposedly he would magically appear, speak to people and then vanish. Followers of Maitreya argued about whether those appearances were by the "real" Maitreya or not though.
