Sorry Ladies to sneak in here. Hope I don't get caught. See, I have a bit of an emergency. My bride called this morning in tears and revealed to me that when she ordered curriculum for our 7th grade son, she didn't for our 3rd grade daughter. She thought she could piecemeal it together and "wing it" as they say.

The main issue though, was that we didn't have the finances and she didn't want to "stress" me over it. Believe me ladies, it's just more overtime... what I have to do if necessary. I wouldn't have been stressed. I think she was just trying to be compassionate as I already work long hours as it is.

Well, to sum it up, we need any Abeka 3rd Grade Language Arts, Penmanship and Reading books (Teacher's Guides would be great too). Also, if there is anyone using the Math-U-See Gamma set (for math) that would be superb. I am deeply sorry if this comes off a bit "needy," but it breaks my heart to hear my bride in tears over not being able to teach our daughter correctly.

Thank you, in advance!

I do not have any A Beka materials, but here's a link to a used homeschool store in my area. Give them a call, tell them what you need, and they may be able to help you. Oh, forgot to mention, they ship all over the world, so getting you the materials wouldn't be a problem.

Another place to try is VegSource. They have a homeschool swap board of other homeschoolers selling their wares. Most of it, if not all, is used. I've bought from other homeschoolers there and have always gotten a good deal.

In His Service, you don't need to apologize for coming over here. The Homeschooling Forum is open to all Homeschoolers, not just the women.

Thank you very much! An answered prayer through a Freecycle group we belong to on the East-Coast - A Christian has some of the books we are looking for and they are new - better yet.... cheap! Thank you for the websites. Will also keep them for future reference.
