The ice is melting at the north pole the arctic. But the ice pack in Antartica is thicker than any time in history. So is the globe only warming in the northern hemisphere?
Last time I checked when you come out of an ice age there is a warming. Greenhouse gases and George Bush is to blame, hahaha. There is no way to measure the carbon and sulphur output from one volcanic eruption. They have been erupting for thousands of years, so who has contributed more to carbon emissions man or volcano?:idunno
When Al Gore reduces his carbon print I'll reduce mine. Nacy Pelosi's plane emits more carbon than my truck.:thinking

Folks seem to get a bit excitable and polarised whenever Global Warming is mentioned. Regardless of whether or not there is any truth in it, there remains a case for taking care of the environment. God does expect us to be good stewards and to exercise prudence with the resources put at our disposal. That means polluting our planet isn't such a sensible idea - would you want a dog living in your house if it wasn't house-trained? Pollution is real and is toxic. Please folks, do not jump on posters because they are concerned about the environment we all live in.

Thousands of scientists have disproven global warming,
I would be interested to see the references to back up this claim.
There is a huge misunderstanding about global warming/cooling, which is exacerbated by the defensive reactions of the (mostly) conservatives to the liberal claims about man-made global warming.
Warming and cooling is a natural cyclical event of the earth and evidence is showing that it has a lot to do with ocean salinity. This article, http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2006/10/061004180029.htm, gives a good insight as to how this works in the Atlantic Ocean. It also explains the relatively rapid warming and cooling cycles that we are seeing in our generations.
A well established doctor in geophysical sciences, William Gray, is the authority when it comes to weather predictions. Insurance companies have been using his predictions to calculate premiums since 1984. Wikipedia says about Gray: "He is a controversial figure in the global warming debate, as he does not subscribe to anthropogenic causes for global warming." In other words, he does not believe that man made emissions play a significant part in the global warming/cooling field. However, he does acknowledge that it exists (there is hardly any denying that in a rational mind).
This Wiki piece on Gray gives a great explanation of his argument against the man made global warming crowd, but still asserts his belief in the reality. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_M._Gray
Doncha just love knowledge :)

Well said!! :thumb Thank you Anddrai! That's all most of us are concerned with. It's not a Republican vs. Democrat issue at stake with us. It's a concern for the earth God put us on and yes, He controls all, but He also allows things~~good and bad to happen~~as consequences to our actions. We all know smoking can lead to heart and lung disease. Certainly, God could intervene and stop the end result, but He doesn't always do that. We are given the intelligence to act responsibly but we don't always do so. What is happening to our world as a result of mass air and water pollution is a lot like individual air pollution by smoking cigarettes. I'm not lauding politicians of any kind. I'm just advocating respect for God's creation.
