Global warming really is a joke. We've had a terrible winter here so far. Days above 0*F have been few and far between.

Coleman was sounding the warning over a year ago in an American Thinker Blog, Nov. 8, 2007. They didn't listen to him then and wont listen to him now. Too much money to be made.... You would think one of the most highly educated men on Earth (our New Pres.) would be looking at the evidence of a hoax vs. his statement the other day of a "warming Earth". (Said while a mega winter storm rages across his country) Especially before sinking MILLIONS of our dollars into preventing it. But again, too much money lining someone's pockets.

All Seriousness Aside

It is like the Peanuts gang laughing in derision after yet another Charlie Brown gaffe. It is like the doubling-over at the double-stumble (video) during fashion week in Paris.
The cackles and guffaws now come routinely. Global warming alarmists, led by inconvenienced (because of cooling weather (http://www.dcexaminer.com/opinion/blogs/YeasandNays/Gore_braves_the_ice_to_talk_global_warming_0129.ht ml)) Al Gore, are seeing their prophecies of doom dissolve. Now that big ice grows (http://omniclimate.wordpress.com/2008/11/05/arctic-sea-ice-extent-in-october-2008-fastest-ever-growth/), big winter is bad (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090129/ap_on_re_us/winter_storm;_ylt=AggvNTfsYcPa2nLL1Nu2fkngtY54) (like last year), cold temperatures hit record levels (http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5jA8UajSvE3ATbG4-lKQ0Df-Ptp1Q), and global mean surface temperature has not continued upward (http://wattsupwiththat.com/2008/03/11/a-note-from-richard-lindzen-on-statistically-significant-warming/) -- despite continued increases in that demonized "greenhouse" gas, carbon dioxide -- the panic peddlers look like flailing jesters.
(Feel free to clink on the blue linked words. Global warming is a FARCE!)
...
Al Gore:
"We have arrived at a moment of decision. Our home -- Earth -- is in grave danger. What is at risk of being destroyed is not the planet itself, of course, but the conditions that have made it hospitable for human beings."
"This is the one challenge that could completely end human civilization (http://thehill.com/leading-the-news/gore-planet-is-in-grave-danger-2009-01-28.html), and it is rushing at us with such speed and force."
"If something has never happened before, we tend to think, 'Well, that's not going to happen.' The problem is, the exceptions can kill you, and this is one of them."
...
Since when does the mainstream media need quotes of validation to support their fellow environmental activists? You would never have seen this, even six months ago. The alarmists are desperate.

Geez Al....could you tell me how much methane gas is naturally released from the ocean floor? No… you can’t...because there’s no way to measure it.
Maybe our future is taxing American farmers for their cow’s gas..
"Estonian Farmers Face Flatulence Tax on Cattle"[url]
"NZ Farmers Protest Raises Stink"
Its an industry global tax.....
Why is Greenland called Greenland?
Because…..Greenland was once green during the 12th & 13th centuries the Climate was warm enough to support farming. The diet of the Vikings during Greenland’s warm period was 80%land 20%sea when the climate became cold these ratios flipped to 20/80 Scientists are able to verify this by studying the bones of the Norse. Additional studies of trash pits also offer indirect proof of the dietary land/sea ratios.
Yes, there have been extreme global weather changes in history. The “Medieval Warm Period” was time of unusually warm climate in the North Atlantic region between 800- 1300 AD. Example, England exported wine to France. Vineyards also flourished in improbable regions like southern Norway and eastern Prussia. It was followed by the “Little Ice Age” which was a period from 1300 to 1850 AD when the Northern Hemisphere experienced colder than normal temperatures. The winter of 1776 was extremely cold. In fact, the turning point of the American Revolution was the key battle of Trenton that was won by Washington when he crossed the Delaware. Washington and his men were facing brutal snow storms that night and day, and were able to overtake the Hessian garrison because they were inside and asleep out of the cold. Though the storm caused extreme misery for Washington’s troops, it allowed them to approach undetected.
The extreme weather of the “Little Ice Age”, contributed to the birth of America. :)

A thought just occurred to me:
Although they (liberals/"progressives") will often bristle when claiming to be too thoughtful and intelligent to believe in such a crude, ignorant (supposedly) idea as hell,
I think that they will eventually discover, even prior to the end of life here on earth, that hell is very real as they will eventually come to define and understand it on their terms:
HELL = Nothing and no one left to TAX!

All you have to do is look who bought the weather channel (GE) Who is making Billions off global warming hoax (GE) Also guess who is helping Obama write his energy policy hmmmm it's (GE) They are for cap and trade think of all the new power plants we will have to build. The smart grid. Yes like it or not you will have a computer controlling your electrical use in your own home turning on and off appliances when the utility company wants it. (GE) is working on this now they call it the smart meter. Oh and don't be surprised later this year when utilities will start to be nationalized like the banks. They will fail too how could they be expected to survive under an avalanche of new enviromental regs?
