Members of Prince Charles’s inner circle are preparing the ground for him to break the monarch’s traditional vow of silence when he is king.

The Prince of Wales, who celebrated his 60th birthday on Friday, has told confidants he would like his role to “evolve” so that his knowledge and experience are not wasted once he inherits the crown, Jonathan Dimbleby, his friend and biographer, reveals today.

Writing in The Sunday Times, Dimbleby says that “there are now discreet moves afoot to redefine the future role of the sovereign so that it would allow King Charles III to speak out on matters of national and international importance in ways that at the moment would be unthinkable”............

Why not, they repealed the Magna Carta a few years ago. Add to that the ultra big brother citizen scrutiny I don't see how we can still call Great Britain a democracy any longer.

Wouldn't it be interesting...and humbling...if it turns out Prince (King Charles) turned out to be the AC after all. So many, even myself at times, have thought it TOO easy for people to think Prince Charles could be the AC. It just couldn't be, it HAS to be someone widely known for his power and ability to draw people together.

But I once heard and have always had it in the back of my mind that the AC would be a man that seemed to come out of nowhere, not necessarily an unknown man, but a man that people couldn't conceive as being a legitimate world leader. Well, what an interestingly suited person as Prince Charles. There's been speculation, but most believer's write him off because he would just be too obvious plus he just doesn't have the legitimate world support. Instead believer's are pointing fingers at Obama, Sarkozy, King Abdullah, Solana, Blair...because they are in the mainstream media daily, but if/when Charles is brought into the spotlight most people just blow it off thinking he's just an "ornament" of old England and has no real power. Well, the AC never has real power until he is indwelt...but the men being seriously considered today as AC by believers already have some notoriety of power, but poor ol' Charles is just a puppet...

All of that to say, I have no clue who the AC is and think most of attempts to point him out is pretty foolish...any of the men being considered today could be him or may not be him, no one but God knows. But I do have to say that I roll my eyes at those here who constantly think Obama is the AC. In my measly opinion, I think Charles is a more likely candidate than Obama.

He could also be said to come up among "10 Kings", something that many individuals fail to consider then discussing this. But oops, were not allowed to talk about this Matthias--need to change the subject.

I get the feeling he is not very respected in Great Britain. But perhaps those posters from UK can tell us better.

After the death of Diana, he seemed to have lost a lot of popularity. Few take him seriously. However, Prince William seems much more popular.

Hmmm, interesting, I wonder if the AC came on the scene and he was allowed a voice, if he would be able to say he was for or against him???
