Residents of homosexual district: 'We're going to kill you. We know who you are'

Hundreds of homosexual activists rushed out of bars and swarmed a group of Christians who were singing songs in San Francisco's Castro District – and some even threatened to kill the worshippers.

A group of Christians had been singing and praying in the "gay" district for several days, but they never expected an angry mob would run them out. However, that's what happened Friday night.

One woman who was attacked told her story at Pastor Lou Engle's Justice House of Prayer in San Francisco. She said the group's fellowship had been peaceful for several nights before the riot.

The woman said she and her friend were doused with hot coffee. One man took a Bible from her friend, hit her on the head with it, pushed her to the ground and began kicking her. People began lunging at the Christian group, blowing whistles in their ears.

"They started saying, 'We're going to kill you,'" she said. "They started taking our pictures and saying, 'We're going to kill you. We know who you are."

There's a video on the link.

Heartbreaking...I cannot imagine what fear they must have felt. I really hope someone stands up to these people. I would never want our country run by these type of fear mongers.

We've just seen a preview of the future...except eventually the police won't be protecting us.

This sent shivers down my spine. If you read the young mans account on that page linked to the youtube video it was a really rough night before this even took place.

I didn't see the video, just read the article on another site. I know the Christians had a right to be where they were, but it was obvious that they were putting themselves at risk. I know many may disagree with me, but I think this type of prayer activity just serves to aggravate, not to win the lost....

I agree. They did have a right to be there but we certainly wouldn't appreciate them coming into our neighborhoods and holding a "peaceful" protest.

However, I also agree that this is a foretaste of things to come. Soon the violence will be in our neighborhoods.

Pegmo, while I was thinking the same thing at first, then I realized that people are saved on the streets every day by bold groups who are willing to go where others won't. It's the only way, sometimes. It is also an important test of our civil rights - as long as they were behaving in a Godly way.

We can't continue giving up territory to the enemy because our presence will cause problems. As long as it is done with love, it is a wonderful (and bold)thing.

I have learned a lot from studying the lessons of WWII.

First, the "obvious" Jews were hauled off to concentration camps. Those who lived in Jewish neighborhoods in Poland or parts of Germany, those who dressed in a traditional manner---all of these were the "obvious"--despicable in the eyes of many gentiles and fellow Jews who had blended in with the world.

But evil does not stop there. Soon, the less obvious Jews, the educated, the successful--those who were not like "those Jews" were also arrested and imprisoned.

Our own persecution will begin the same way.

The bolder ones among us will go first.

But sooner or later all of us who will want to hold true to His name will be backed into a corner and forced to make a choice.

That is why I can say that although I would not choose to go into hostile neighborhoods and pray---it is really a mute point. The fact that I exist, follow and love my Lord will bring me persecution at some point in time.

This kind of reminds me of the video I saw the other day that showed a man being saved (hopefully) from homosexuality by a group of "street preachers". It was so cool. He was there on his knees in the street bawling when it finally hit him.
