This was just posted on MSNBC. Opinions? Not sure if this is the right place to post. Didn't know that the old policy had been abandoned in 2000.

Gee how big of them to put out an apology now, how convenient . I wonder if they would have done so if the new President was not half black.
Their long held racist agenda flies in the face of the love of Jesus Christ and they have done more to stumble people and defame the name of Jesus then draw people to Him.
I am married to a black man and I know all to well that this type crap is a major hinderance to minority folks who have in some cases been wrongly taught that Christianty is the "white man's religion". In part that is why Islam is popular in the black community. Those who have perpetrated these racist agenda's, in some cases in the name of God and have hindered some from teh Kingdom will be held accountable before the Judge-who made all races of people and loves them equally !

They lifted that ban 9 years ago, and now they have officially apologized. They are still a Christian University, and as Christians we should forgive them.

Thank You for your insight. I had been trying to figure out why so many black males are drawn to Islam. That's so sad that so many people have abused christiany to abuse people by and to preach against everything the word stands for.
