View Full Version : Judgemental/Condemation vs Love/Concern

I am wondering if anyone can give scripture in this category. Seeing as I have seen "SO MANY TIMES" people think they are being condemn when really it is showing love and trying to help the person see the errors of their ways. Now granted there are sometimes were love and concern is ignored. Thats when some use condemnation and judgment. Any thoughts??? Thanks!

You can tell the difference between condemnation and conviction this way.

Condemnation comes from Satan and draws you farther from the Lord.

Convection comes from the Holy Spirit and draws you closer to the Lord.

And both use people for that purpose. I think we need to check ourselves and the reasons we're saying what we're saying to people. This is very misunderstood by people. They take all judging as bad because they don't understand "judge not lest ye be judged".

When the Bible says that it means don't judge hypocritically or self righteously. We need to make judgments and have discernment. But we need to do it out of love and for the purpose of restoration. I need to check myself on this all the time. And I do forget to sometimes.

Gal 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

Our pastor preached about this recently during Bible Study & he used Matthew 7:1-6 which seemed alittle odd at first considering that Matthew 7:1 is the "judge not" verse. But, he talked about the differences between fleshly judgement & Godly judgement using verses 2-5. Your question is answered in verse 6 which states: "Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you." Some people will always accuse you of being condeming and unloving when you bring up a concern in their life. They will trample your love and concern to the ground along with any Spiritual advice you give & rend you to pieces.
