Anyone go any advise on dealing with excess water in my garden ?

it floods badly in the winter, I have a high clay content in my soil, I'm sure the excess water is hurting my citrus trees.

I think I need to lay some drains and drain the water off, but am unsure what to use.

any advice?

I think that a 3 or 4 inch plastic pipe would do the trick. You can buy the materials at most home centers. Another alternative would be to grade the yard so the water flows downhill. Either way is going to take a lot of work.

Good luck

NetHog is currently building our septic system on our property.

His new official name is Lordship Of Da Poop.

Ummm, Todd or Chris can we get a name change please...

How close is this garden to your home? The one thing you want to make sure is you do not direct any excess water back to the house.

RaptureMe: You could probably put in some drain tiles. Its what the farmers use to keep the excess moisture from accumulating in one particular part of the field.
