my point is that 2000 years later we still think we're in the last days... maybe we should be READY for the end, but stop trying to predict it and make statements about "NWO Posters" and "THIS IS THE MARK OF THE BEAST!!" and stuff like that...

I mean... what happens if (and, sure, this might be a huge "IF") the rapture doesn't happen in 20 years? Does that hurt anyone's faith?

Ahhh, understood! Short answer, no, it shouldn't, as long as no one falls into the trap of date setting. Trying to match a date with current events is like a putting together a 1000 piece puzzle with only 750 pieces.... you'll never finish and only end up frustrated.

I'm not pretrib. I'm prewrath. I fully expect to see the A C revealed. I believe the hour of temptation that tries the whole earth IS the mark. I believe the rapture occurs during the sixth seal. I fully believe the Bible when it says "that day shall not come, until there is apostacy first, AND that son of perdition be revealed". Normally I don't discuss it, because I believe were all bros and sisters, and we put our hope in Jesus Christ, not some rapture timing theory.

Absoluetely }=o)

I just worry about becoming the church that cries wolf and losing all credibility because we hold too strongly and preach too much about the end of the world that never comes... lol

I think as long as we don't so much cry "Wolf!!!" as say "Um, Wolf? Maybe?" and we keep it amonst ourselves, we won't lose credibility with others. :)

I think it's clear there are things going on in our world today that are very unlike times past, and it makes sense that Christians will notice some of the more extreme happenings and relate them to prophecy. Sometimes I think we're right on, too. And sometimes I think we see things that aren't there. But nothing wrong with taking note. As you said, it shouldn't become a main focus and something that we should worry about - we have our commission and focus and it isn't guessing the end times.
