Psalm 91

This is a continuation on the war on terror. This is a spiritual battle as much as a physical one, and more today than ever, it takes spiritual discernment to understand this whole mess.

Egypt and Jordan have refused to open their borders to their Arab brothers because they have tried to overthrow their governments. It gets very old seeing Israel having to explain herself to the world community for defending itself, but public opinion is mute when Hamas is oppressing and using it's own civilians for propoganda and cannon fodder. The "Gazans" elected Hamas in a landslide-if they want change, get rid of Hamas. The "Arab" world turns a blind eye to the "Palestinians" when they are living in squalor and their leaders living in luxury, but Israel fights back and they cry "foul", "disproportionate", "civilians are suffering". :doh

I don't rejoice in any bloodshed, but wars will be a reality until Christ returns. I pray today, that Israel would turn it's face back to the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob, and that muslims in bondage to Islam will hear the Gospel and get saved. When oppressive govt's are overthrown, it has lead to walls being brought down so the Gospel can get in. :pray

I pray for Israel's victory, but realize that Israel faces very dark days before Christ returns, 2/3 of them will die but 1/3 will be refined through the fire and saved. Prophecy is very bittersweet.

Amen!!

Well said!! And it should be noted that it is not Israel's desire to target/kill any civilians, only Hamas. They are doing their best to warn civilians and keep from harming them. Reminds me of that scripture, "He is not willing that any should perish . . . "

Dear Father, I come in the name of Jesus now, because I can't come in my own name or my own righteousness, to thank You for what you are doing in the Middle East through Israel. I come into Your throne room to ask that You preserve and protect Your troops, for they are truly Yours, and strengthen them in this battle. Where they are tired, give them rest. Where they are wounded, give them healing. Where they are hungry, feed them as You did with manna so long ago. You have promised in Your Word to always defend Israel, and I now ask that You do so. Surround them with Your angels, prepared for battle, and allow the world to witness Your power if it is Your Will. Guide them with Your wisdom, which is greater than all the wisdom in the world. Guide the minds of the people who are guiding and ordering the troops, and give them Your blessed assurance and leadership. The battle belongs to You, O Lord, and Yours is the victory in this and in every battle. Please allow Yourself to be seen in this conflict, and bring many to Yourself and to Jesus because of it. Please get the glory for Yourself in whatever happens in this conflict, and use it to Your Will.

I ask all these things in Jesus' name, and for His sake,

Amen

While I don't like war and I would imagnine most here don;t I do support G-d's will be done here but may I say from G-d's word that if G-d has directed them may they follow completely his direction in HIS name. I pray that they follow to the letter his direction and word and not allow any outside infuluence to direct them. As it was with Saul in not obeying his direction I pray Isreal would remember and do as he has directed. Pint in measure should be noted in relation It was David that was annointed in the same time frame as Saul's disobedience Mayb the house of David rise and be glorified!!! Amen

Thank you for this, BNL, very well said. I also pray earnestly for Muslims to come to saving faith in Jesus. (Took me a long time to be able to do this. :tsk)

And, of course, my beloved Israel... I can't describe the heaviness of spirit as I saw the Israeli boys walking in the darkness onto Gazan soil. Who knows what they face there -- Oh Lord, rise up and show Yourself strong on behalf of Your people!! How long, oh Lord, how long??!! All they have is You - be all they need in this time!!

So much pain for them to come, umimagineable pain. Yes, prophecy is feeling very bittersweet to me right now. :candle :pray:pray:pray
