One of my pet peeves:
Lose – misplace, fail to win, have something taken away
For instance, you LOSE weight.
Loose – not firmly fixed, slack, not tight, free
i.e. Your pants are too LOOSE.
We diiffer in opinion over whether you can LOSE (not LOOSE) your salvation.
